Alessio Ragno Capone
Ragno (1991, IT) wants to reflect on the practice of extraction for creation, while showing the li-ving quality of inanimate things through their ability to break/age.
As matter is removed, cut through, infiltrated and dissected, time becomes a sign. Fragility is identified with transformation and decay.
The artist becomes part of the space through the intervention, while the space identity is revealed through its substances.
Towards completion of the artwork, religious iconography is referenced through methods of displayand installation.
He’s currently aligning his research with with New Materialism, investigating the agency of things.
