Inhabit Garments

Inhabit Garments

Jiyoung Chu

28 March - 2 May 2026

Where does the place we truly return to—home—exist?

It may live in blurred memories, in another’s warmth, or in the time spent enduring pain.

In this exhibition, the artist quietly revisits the meanings of home, shelter, and return through a life shaped by continual movement, whether by choice or by circumstance. Drawing on her experience and techniques as a tailor, garments closest to the moving body are reimagined as spatial structures. Clothing is no longer something to be worn, but a place the body temporarily inhabits, leaving traces behind.

Through these garments, the artist constructs her own fragmented sense of home. Within the conditions of an unsettled life, the exhibition offers a poetic reflection on what it means to inhabit—and how dwelling might still be possible without permanence.
