Guinness Vanhellemont
Guinness Vanhellemont (b.1997) explores and deconstructs the photographic image and the notion of capturing the moment. Searching for a picture he has not seen before.
His practice focuses more on the experience of looking at a picture rather than telling a narrative. This also includes using the space as an active component of his exhibitions and exploring different forms of printed media.
By taking away the element of storytelling out of his photographic works, he makes the viewer pay more attention to the details. Rather than referring to a different place or time, his images place the viewer in the here and now.
